Hemodynamic Derangement and their disturbances
Main Article Content
Abstract
All cells and tissues of the body are critically dependent on a normal fluid environment and on adequate blood supply. Either or both of these systems may be deranged in a wide variety of clinical settings, and therefore fluid imbalances and hemodynamic disturbances. Hemorrhage, thromboses, embolism and infarction are not only commonplace, but also life-threatening. Myocardial infarction is the predominant cause of death in industrialized nations. Edema of the brain or lungs and pulmonary embolism also are major causes of death, severe hemorrhage is a frequent cause of morbidity and mortality, especially in this day of automobile and industrial accidents.
This review summarizes hemodynamic derangement and designed to assist medical students of all special to the initial period of study during the pathology course. Many students will find it helpful to quick comprehension and review the material.
